6 Ways to Balance Hormone Health

Here are 6 ways we can use diet, lifestyle and essential oils to help our bodies achieve balance and wellness. Eat whole food The food we eat plays a large role in hormone health. Not only does eating a balanced diet of real food help our entire bodies to function better, but there are certain foods we can eat that promote hormone health. These foods are:
  • Whole grains
  • Beans
  • Seeds
  • Nuts
  • Fruits and vegetables
  • Seed oils like flax seed oil
It is also important to consume healthy oils. Coconut oil is one of the best for hormone health. It provides the necessary building blocks for hormone production. It can reduce inflammation and will assist in weight loss. Coconut oil is great to use in place of many different oils. It can be heated to high temps without adverse taste, it has a long shelf life and it tastes great! Get plenty of sleep Sleep is so important to hormone health. It is important to overall health and balance. Sleep is a time of healing and rebuilding. If you have a difficult time falling or staying asleep, here are a few things you can do to help:
  1. Create a sleep schedule and stick to it, even on weekends or holidays. Choose a reasonable time to go to bed and to rise.
  2. Practice a bedtime ritual. Do the same things every night before going to bed and choose things that are relaxing.
