Essential Oils Safety Guidelines

safey_guide Avoid placing essential oils directly in ears or eyes. If essential oils are on your hands, and you accidentally touch a sensitive spot on your body, don't use water to dilute. Fractionated coconut oil, olive oil, etc. will work well. Some oils are considered warm or hot oils. Dilute those unless you are putting them on your feet. If using with children, highly dilute the oils. If you are using a citrus oil topically, be careful to avoid the sun for up to 12 hours or cover the area with sunscreen or clothing. Citrus oils are very photosensitive. Essential oils are safe and a wonderful support for pregnancy and nursing. Be careful to know which oils are safe and which ones should be avoided at different times in the process. While using essential oils, increase your water intake. It will help your body flush the toxins and avoid detox symptoms.
