Preparing for Pests in the Garden

With warmer weather coming, so are the bugs! They seem especially interested in garden plants. Left unchecked, these pests can sometimes cause irreparable harm to the plants you've worked so hard to plant and grow.

Essential oils can be a great tool to use in your garden for discouraging these pests from your plants. Here is a handy chart that shows some different ideas depending on the type of plants you are growing.

Now is a great time to make sure you have the oils you'll need on hand and even have your spray bottle ready to go. As soon as your plants begin to grow, or if you are planting ones that are already a few inches tall, you can spray every few days for optimum protection.

Remember a little goes a long way, so be sure to dilute well and shake your bottle often when spraying so that you can get an even dose on the plants.
